RAWview....Goodbye Shawn.
I was gonna write up a RAWview. But nothing of great importance happened, with of course the exception of Shawn "The Heartbreak Kid" Michaels giving his farewell address to the WWE. So, instead of the RAWview. Tonight I share my most memorable moments of HBK.
- The first big one is when I was in elementary school. I got strep throat and rented Wrestlemania 10 on VHS. At the time Razor Ramon (Scott Hall) was one of my favorites, seeing him and Shawn put on the first ladder match I ever saw was amazing. I was nine years old and must have watched that match upwards of ten times in a row just cause it was so awesome.
- One of the first big promos I can recall is the infamous "lost my smile" speech from RAW in the mid 90's. Albeit I know now it was for stupid reasons when I was younger it was weird for me to see the guys I had been looking up to show emotion like that.
- Seeing Shawn at two pay per view events in person was great. The shows were mainly throwaways over all, but I still remember both of his appearances well. Backlash 2006: Shane and Vince v. Shawn and "God" literally running back to my seat as soon as his entrance music hit. Cyber Sunday 2006: DX v. RatedRKO DX was super over in Cincy.
- 2007 when HBK had been gone all summer and Orton had just gotten the belt when Cena was injured and Triple H had been severely beaten. Orton left the ring to go find HHH when Shawn's theme hit and he made his return to RAW.
- Wrestlemania 24, 25, and 26: Three of the greatest matches I have ever seen, all featuring three of the greatest of all time. The end of Ric Flair (so we thought). Shawn v. Taker 1.... And HBK's final match again.... against the Undertaker. These three matches all told great stories and Shawn couldn't have ended his career in a better match.
- The speech Shawn gave to close RAW was genuine and heartfelt. They differed from the locker room pouring out to just having the Undertake come out and tip has hat to him before the speech. Then to close the show they had HHH meet him on the ramp after the hugged HHH put two DX glowsticks on the ramp and left and gave Shawn his moment that he deserved.....
Normal format will be back next week. Til then...

Wrestlemania 26
Harry - "In regards to Wrestlemania 26, my dick is so hard right now."
Well now that we got that out of the way, on to the review.
Some ex-American Idol winner sings "America The Beautiful" to open the show, then we get our opening match...
Match 1: ShowMiz v. R-Truth/John Morrison
This watch is hard to review because nothing really happened, I doubt anyone really predicted a title change here. R-Truth got hurt outside and Morrison got a knock out punch from Big Show for the pin.
After a view of festivities from the weekend we get our second match.
Match 2: Orton v. Rhodes v. DiBiase
Randy Orton is super over with the crowd. Dibiase and Rhodes continue to play the numbers game on Orton while he fights them off. They eventually get they eventually get the upper hand and all is well til DiBiase tries to pin Orton while Rhodes has his back turned. They fall apart as a team and Orton takes advantage, end of the match sees Rhodes get punted in the head while DiBiase gets and RKO... Orton celebrates as the crowd goes nuts.
Backstage promo sees Santino mention Slim Jim is our sponsor and even a brief appearance from Melina. Then we head ringside for match three... MONEY IN THE BANK!!!
Match Three: Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Kofi Kingston vs. MVP vs. Jack Swagger vs. Evan Bourne vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Matt Hardy vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Kane vs. Christian
It was almost impossible to keep up with all the action in this match. Kofi had some ridiculous hair and Matt Hardy is back in his old outfit. Highlights...
- Anytime Drew McIntyre got his ass kicked.
- Kofi using two sides of a broken ladder as stilts.
- Evan Bourne doing Air Bourne off the side of a ladder.
The end of the match saw Jack Swagger knocking Christian off the ladder and then botching getting the briefcase off the hook. Swagger eventually got the win.
We see the Hall of Fame Class of 2010.... Then the next match.
Match Four: Triple H v. Sheamus
Sheamus is a favorite of HHH which is probably what led to this being a non-squash match. Sheamus gets the early advantage and this is a very good back and forth match. Sheamus hits his big boot and for a bit there was serious thought in my mind that he may actually beat Trips... But then reality set in and Triple H played possum after one, hit the Pedigree and that was all she wrote.
We get a video preivew for CM Punk and Rey Mysterio.. Obviously leading into our next match.
Match Five: Rey Mysterio v. CM Punk
CM Punk comes out in GI Joe inspired trunks that are awesome... He cuts a promo about how being straight edge means he is better than you. Mysterio misses his cue and comes out dressed like a blue guy from Avatar.... Seriously. The match itself was another short one, which sucks but keeps the feud going. Mysterio knocked Punk into one of his proteges and hit the 619.
A video rundown of Bret Hart.
Match Six: Bret Hart v. Vince McMahon
This was a huge disappointment. It saw all the Hart family at ringside and Vince mostly just crying on the mat while Bret kicked his ass. Seriously the only payoff was the end with Vince tapping to the Sharpshooter.
After this we get a video about Edge's injury and return.
Match Seven: Chris Jericho v. Edge
This was easily the second most anticipated match on the card for me. Edge is one of my all time favorites and Jericho is possibly the best wrestler in WWE right now. This was the perfect match to keep the feud going. A great back and forth match with Jericho picking up the tainted victory but then Edge attacking him after the bell and spearing him off a table through the barrier.
Match Eight: Heel v. Face Divas
Who cares.
Video package of Cena v. Batista build up.
Match Nine: John Cena v. Batista
Not really a lot to say here. Typical Cena and Dave in the match, both guys are powerhouses who have no variation in style. Cena won with a Batista bomb countered into an STF which made Dave tap out.
With that and another video montage it is main event time.
Match Ten: Undertaker v. HBK
Words cannot do this match justice. I was skeptical they would out do last years match but they did. A faster pace and multiple false finishes to the match made this easily the best match of the night and presumably the best match of the year. Then end saw HBK kick out of a Tombstone and then when Taker went for the deadmeat across his throat sign he stopped and told Shawn to stay down. HBK crawled up and made the motion himself then slapped the Undertaker across the face. Taker hit another Tombstone and Shawn Michaels will now retire.
After the match Undertaker posed then helped Shawn up, they hugged and then Taker left. Shawn began to cry as the crowd chanted "Thank you Shawn." He walked up the ramp and posed once more to close Wrestlemania 26.
I hope he gets the send off he deserves tomorrow on RAW. I'll be back after the show to let you all know.
Enjoy,

Trailer Trash 2: Electric Bogaloo
Two trailers a piece seemed to work really well, so, just gonna stick with that...
A few years ago I was very excited about a British movie called Death At A Funeral. It was hysterical and was easily one of my favorite movies of the year.
In 2009 someone had the idea to remake a movie less than three years old with only one small change... A nearly entirely black cast. I can't say I don't wanna see this, it still looks funny.
That is all for me, Beastie K will be here later.... I will be back Sunday with a Wrestlemania 26 review.
Enjoy,
Suss
Post hijack via Beasty K...
I have not read the comic, but I just bought the first two digests of it... Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Trailer, looks good to me. Directed by Edgar Wright(Shaun of the Dead, and Hot Fuzz)...
Dun Dun Dun Dun... the sequel of the incredible hit Alien vs. Predator... Alien Vs. Predator Two Electric Bogaloo the hardcore trailer....

Trailer Trash
Let the inagural round of Trailer Trash begin!
The breakdown of this is gonna be trailers.... That are either hysterically bad or just simply awesome, with the occasional personal fave thrown in.
Speaking of hysterically bad... Hey look! Twilight: Eclipse
EDIT: I couldn't care enough to find an actual trailer that would allow embedding.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh God! My eyes!!!!!!!!!
Quick... Pallet cleanser: Who can save me at a time like this????
Only Simon Pegg could save me from that piece of shit.
Shaun of the Dead to the rescue!!!!!
Well, til Monday. It is good to be back, Beastie K takes it from here.
The worst part about that Twilight: Eclipse trailer? It reminds that I have to open on Saturday when New Moon comes out (I work at Best Buy)...I may be overrun by butter trolls and pre teens...
To start you off I'm going a different direction Tron Legacy. I have never seen the original one, and I do not plan on it. I know nothing of Tron, but this movie looks good...sorry about the ad, i can't find one without it
Last but not least is cult classic Drive-Thru...no explanation needed...
Now someone make Drive-Thru Two: Please Pull Around, happen NOW
