RAWview....Goodbye Shawn.
I was gonna write up a RAWview. But nothing of great importance happened, with of course the exception of Shawn "The Heartbreak Kid" Michaels giving his farewell address to the WWE. So, instead of the RAWview. Tonight I share my most memorable moments of HBK.
- The first big one is when I was in elementary school. I got strep throat and rented Wrestlemania 10 on VHS. At the time Razor Ramon (Scott Hall) was one of my favorites, seeing him and Shawn put on the first ladder match I ever saw was amazing. I was nine years old and must have watched that match upwards of ten times in a row just cause it was so awesome.
- One of the first big promos I can recall is the infamous "lost my smile" speech from RAW in the mid 90's. Albeit I know now it was for stupid reasons when I was younger it was weird for me to see the guys I had been looking up to show emotion like that.
- Seeing Shawn at two pay per view events in person was great. The shows were mainly throwaways over all, but I still remember both of his appearances well. Backlash 2006: Shane and Vince v. Shawn and "God" literally running back to my seat as soon as his entrance music hit. Cyber Sunday 2006: DX v. RatedRKO DX was super over in Cincy.
- 2007 when HBK had been gone all summer and Orton had just gotten the belt when Cena was injured and Triple H had been severely beaten. Orton left the ring to go find HHH when Shawn's theme hit and he made his return to RAW.
- Wrestlemania 24, 25, and 26: Three of the greatest matches I have ever seen, all featuring three of the greatest of all time. The end of Ric Flair (so we thought). Shawn v. Taker 1.... And HBK's final match again.... against the Undertaker. These three matches all told great stories and Shawn couldn't have ended his career in a better match.
- The speech Shawn gave to close RAW was genuine and heartfelt. They differed from the locker room pouring out to just having the Undertake come out and tip has hat to him before the speech. Then to close the show they had HHH meet him on the ramp after the hugged HHH put two DX glowsticks on the ramp and left and gave Shawn his moment that he deserved.....
Normal format will be back next week. Til then...

Wrestlemania 26
Harry - "In regards to Wrestlemania 26, my dick is so hard right now."
Well now that we got that out of the way, on to the review.
Some ex-American Idol winner sings "America The Beautiful" to open the show, then we get our opening match...
Match 1: ShowMiz v. R-Truth/John Morrison
This watch is hard to review because nothing really happened, I doubt anyone really predicted a title change here. R-Truth got hurt outside and Morrison got a knock out punch from Big Show for the pin.
After a view of festivities from the weekend we get our second match.
Match 2: Orton v. Rhodes v. DiBiase
Randy Orton is super over with the crowd. Dibiase and Rhodes continue to play the numbers game on Orton while he fights them off. They eventually get they eventually get the upper hand and all is well til DiBiase tries to pin Orton while Rhodes has his back turned. They fall apart as a team and Orton takes advantage, end of the match sees Rhodes get punted in the head while DiBiase gets and RKO... Orton celebrates as the crowd goes nuts.
Backstage promo sees Santino mention Slim Jim is our sponsor and even a brief appearance from Melina. Then we head ringside for match three... MONEY IN THE BANK!!!
Match Three: Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Kofi Kingston vs. MVP vs. Jack Swagger vs. Evan Bourne vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Matt Hardy vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Kane vs. Christian
It was almost impossible to keep up with all the action in this match. Kofi had some ridiculous hair and Matt Hardy is back in his old outfit. Highlights...
- Anytime Drew McIntyre got his ass kicked.
- Kofi using two sides of a broken ladder as stilts.
- Evan Bourne doing Air Bourne off the side of a ladder.
The end of the match saw Jack Swagger knocking Christian off the ladder and then botching getting the briefcase off the hook. Swagger eventually got the win.
We see the Hall of Fame Class of 2010.... Then the next match.
Match Four: Triple H v. Sheamus
Sheamus is a favorite of HHH which is probably what led to this being a non-squash match. Sheamus gets the early advantage and this is a very good back and forth match. Sheamus hits his big boot and for a bit there was serious thought in my mind that he may actually beat Trips... But then reality set in and Triple H played possum after one, hit the Pedigree and that was all she wrote.
We get a video preivew for CM Punk and Rey Mysterio.. Obviously leading into our next match.
Match Five: Rey Mysterio v. CM Punk
CM Punk comes out in GI Joe inspired trunks that are awesome... He cuts a promo about how being straight edge means he is better than you. Mysterio misses his cue and comes out dressed like a blue guy from Avatar.... Seriously. The match itself was another short one, which sucks but keeps the feud going. Mysterio knocked Punk into one of his proteges and hit the 619.
A video rundown of Bret Hart.
Match Six: Bret Hart v. Vince McMahon
This was a huge disappointment. It saw all the Hart family at ringside and Vince mostly just crying on the mat while Bret kicked his ass. Seriously the only payoff was the end with Vince tapping to the Sharpshooter.
After this we get a video about Edge's injury and return.
Match Seven: Chris Jericho v. Edge
This was easily the second most anticipated match on the card for me. Edge is one of my all time favorites and Jericho is possibly the best wrestler in WWE right now. This was the perfect match to keep the feud going. A great back and forth match with Jericho picking up the tainted victory but then Edge attacking him after the bell and spearing him off a table through the barrier.
Match Eight: Heel v. Face Divas
Who cares.
Video package of Cena v. Batista build up.
Match Nine: John Cena v. Batista
Not really a lot to say here. Typical Cena and Dave in the match, both guys are powerhouses who have no variation in style. Cena won with a Batista bomb countered into an STF which made Dave tap out.
With that and another video montage it is main event time.
Match Ten: Undertaker v. HBK
Words cannot do this match justice. I was skeptical they would out do last years match but they did. A faster pace and multiple false finishes to the match made this easily the best match of the night and presumably the best match of the year. Then end saw HBK kick out of a Tombstone and then when Taker went for the deadmeat across his throat sign he stopped and told Shawn to stay down. HBK crawled up and made the motion himself then slapped the Undertaker across the face. Taker hit another Tombstone and Shawn Michaels will now retire.
After the match Undertaker posed then helped Shawn up, they hugged and then Taker left. Shawn began to cry as the crowd chanted "Thank you Shawn." He walked up the ramp and posed once more to close Wrestlemania 26.
I hope he gets the send off he deserves tomorrow on RAW. I'll be back after the show to let you all know.
Enjoy,

Trailer Trash 2: Electric Bogaloo
Two trailers a piece seemed to work really well, so, just gonna stick with that...
A few years ago I was very excited about a British movie called Death At A Funeral. It was hysterical and was easily one of my favorite movies of the year.
In 2009 someone had the idea to remake a movie less than three years old with only one small change... A nearly entirely black cast. I can't say I don't wanna see this, it still looks funny.
That is all for me, Beastie K will be here later.... I will be back Sunday with a Wrestlemania 26 review.
Enjoy,
Suss
Post hijack via Beasty K...
I have not read the comic, but I just bought the first two digests of it... Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Trailer, looks good to me. Directed by Edgar Wright(Shaun of the Dead, and Hot Fuzz)...
Dun Dun Dun Dun... the sequel of the incredible hit Alien vs. Predator... Alien Vs. Predator Two Electric Bogaloo the hardcore trailer....

Trailer Trash
Let the inagural round of Trailer Trash begin!
The breakdown of this is gonna be trailers.... That are either hysterically bad or just simply awesome, with the occasional personal fave thrown in.
Speaking of hysterically bad... Hey look! Twilight: Eclipse
EDIT: I couldn't care enough to find an actual trailer that would allow embedding.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh God! My eyes!!!!!!!!!
Quick... Pallet cleanser: Who can save me at a time like this????
Only Simon Pegg could save me from that piece of shit.
Shaun of the Dead to the rescue!!!!!
Well, til Monday. It is good to be back, Beastie K takes it from here.
The worst part about that Twilight: Eclipse trailer? It reminds that I have to open on Saturday when New Moon comes out (I work at Best Buy)...I may be overrun by butter trolls and pre teens...
To start you off I'm going a different direction Tron Legacy. I have never seen the original one, and I do not plan on it. I know nothing of Tron, but this movie looks good...sorry about the ad, i can't find one without it
Last but not least is cult classic Drive-Thru...no explanation needed...
Now someone make Drive-Thru Two: Please Pull Around, happen NOW

We're back baby!!!! ......Wait..... WE?!?!?!?
OK! Back behind the keyboard after a break that actually ended up being longer than I had planned due to about two weeks of very sketchy internet service. Now, on with the program.........
As you may know this was my way to keep writing on a somewhat daily basis. Between a full time job, social life, and joining The Drunk Show. I simply didn't have the time I wanted to commit to this site. I put delays on and eventually ended up abandoning most of the stuff I really wanted to talk about.
So, without further putting shit off..... There are now two of us here.
Suss and Beastie K!!!!
The new schedule is gonna be as follows:
Monday: Rawview - Suss
Tuesday: Tuneage Tuesday - Suss
Wednesday: Comic Book Day - Beastie K
Thursday: Grab Bag of whatever - Beastie K
Friday: Trailer Trash - Suss and Beastie K
Weekends: Who Knows - Suss and Beastie K
Starting Friday or Monday!
Get ready to enjoy,
Suss

Royal Rumble/RAW(view)
Taking on a PPV and RAW... Down to business.
- Christian v. Jackson was seriously like the first ECW match I have seen in 3 months. Christian deserves more than the ECW title in my opinion though.
- Impromptu match with the Miz and MVP. Dear lord these two just know how to work together, good match throughout. Miz wins, but MVP hits the Playmaker when Miz is taunting him.
- Mickie James won the Womens Title in 21 seconds. Good for her.
- Orton was WAY over with the crowd. Slower paced match.
- I do not think this match had the planned finish take place, Rhodes looks like he missed his cue to interfere and the ref had to kinda just improv it.
- Mysterio v. Taker was fun, Rey sold moves like a champ and made Undertaker look like a complete monster. Finish was a bit off as Undertaker pretty much no sold two of Rey's finishers before giving him a Last Ride for the win.
- CM Punk stole the show in the rumble match. His promos between wrestlers were absolute gold.
- Having Triple H get eliminated in the middle of the match was easily a highlight for me.
- Edge made his return looking quite a bit smaller than the last time he was on TV and this eventually led to him winning the match eliminating Cena to win the match.
- When HBK got eliminated he played his role very well acting like all of his hopes and dreams had been crushed.
- Very different feel from the Rumble last year where there were upwards of 15 guys in the ring at a time, this year they maxed out at 6.
Onto RAW!!!!!
- Edge makes his return to TV, you can tell he is happy to be back, he cuts a promo and is definitely riding the line between face and heel the entire time.
- Sheamus interrupts talking about how he beat Orton last night and beat Cena for the title.
- Edge with easily the quote of the night responded with "I made a career out of beating John Cena for the title." Promo ends with Sheamus attacking Edge, but Edge gets the upper hand.
- William Shatner is our guest host... he accomplishes nothing.
- Five matches to determine who faces Sheamus for the title at Elimination Chamber...
- Cena beat Rhodes
- Triple H beat Swagger
- Orton beat HBK
- DiBiase beat - Henry
- Kofi beat Big Show
- Bret Hart called out Vince and after a pretty good promo by Vince and Hart. Hart attacked Vince and Batista made the save. Setting up what seems to be Cena v. Batista 2 at Wrestlemania 26.
Til next week.

RAW(view)
Couple days late....
- WWE is seriously pushing hard for the come home shows for the Royal Rumble.
- Vince McMahon cutting promos is almost as painful as seeing Hogan on TV again... almost.
- He further proves that Bret will be back soon.
- UNDERTAKER INTERRUPTION FTW!!!! He basically calls Vince a liar and says he screwed Bret... twice.
- Taker calls out HBK and refuses his request for a WMXXVI rematch saying he has nothing left to prove, but it HBK wants his match. He needs to win the Rumble.
- Match 1 saw WWE make up for giving Evan Bourne offense by having Sheamus demolish him. Orton came down to get a better view of the action then left.
- Backstage antics with HBK, HHH, and Hornswoggle leads to our guest host no. 1 (Don Johnson) saying guest host no. 2 (Jon Heder) hasn't shown up yet... OH NOES!!!
- Jack Swagger loses another over the top rope challenge to Mark Henry. Santino came out before hand dressed as Don Johnson from Miami Vice, and claimed he couldn't wrestle cause he was busy.... Busy being awesome I assume.
- Jon Heder shows up with the Bella twins.... Well, there is all the proof you would ever need to prove wrestling is fake.
- The guest hosts come out and talk WWE with Johnson playing good cop and Heder playing bad cop. This leads to them setting up DX v. Big Show/Miz
- Kingston/Cena v. Legacy: Kofi is becoming a star, end of story. They really wanna shake things up, have him win the Rumble.... Will not happen, but I can dream.
- Hornswoggle backstage yelling in "Leprechaun" at Heder, eventually the match is made Heder/Big Show/Miz v. DX and Hornswoggle.
- The four finalists in the Diva's title tourney had a tag match... I cannot recall anything about this.
- Big Show and Miz give Jon Heder a character complete with Ric Flair-esque robe it says "The Flame."
- McMahon is going to call out Bret Hart soon.... Not soon enough.
- Triple H says he needs to talk to Shawn... But they get interrupted by Hornswoggle.
- Chris Masters is still employed by WWE, we know this cause he lost to Randy Orton... Who was the attacked by Sheamus.
- DX and Hornswoggle won their match.... SHOCK. Then John Cena, Triple H, Big Show, and HBK all argued about who was gonna win the Royal Rumble, with HHH being the only left in the ring as RAW went off the air.
Enjoy,
Suss

Tuneage Wednesday... Shhhhh: The Suicide Machines
Not a lot to say about these guys... Found them on a buying spree in late 2001. They do a good job of mixing punk and ska. The thing about these guys is they are a genuinely fun band. You may remember them from the Tony Hawk 1 soundtrack.

RAW(view)
- Mike Tyson is hosting tonight, this is obviously not off to a good start as he doesn't appear to care that he is on RAW. All he did was setup a triple threat match for the number one contender for th title.
- Halfhearted promo by Sheamus: this just further proves he was thrust into this position without planning. Can't even really blame him for the way his character works.
- Kelly Kelly lost to Alicia Fox in the Divas title tourney... I was surprised.
- Legacy v. Mark Henry and Evan Bourne, I remember when these guys and Swagger all got moved to RAW to receive pushes.... That went down the tube.
- HBK remembers what happened with Tyson at Wrestlemania 14 and upon confronting him Tyson says he wants to knock out HBK again. Setting up a match with Tyson and Jericho v. DX. If you didn't see the finish to this match coming, you're blind.
- SANTINO MARELLA WON A TELEVISED MATCH!!!! He beat Swagger in an over the top rope challenge.
- Triple threat was ok with a surprise ending... Orton v. Sheamus will be interesting and I think a good way to put Sheamus over as the top heel on RAW is to have him beat the top heel on RAW.
- The Miz keeps getting better on the mic, like to a large degree. I wish they would put him into a promo with Cena now when he could hold his own.
- McMahon says Bret Hart will never be in a WWE ring again... See ya next week Hitman.
- Shockingly Tyson knocked out Jericho and DX won.... Sending the crowd home happy.
Overall tonight was just a run of the mill show outside of The Miz cutting his awesome promo... Just announced that the WWE will have Stone Cold Steve Austin host RAW in mid-March two weeks before Wrestlemania 26. Awesome, Hart and Austin on the same show since 1997.

Playing Catch Up: Tuneage.... Weekend: Quarashi
Icelandic Rap... Seriously awesome, guys broke up in 2005. More of an indie hop feel to them, they played Warped Tour in 2002 and played some sporadic shows around the U.S. before they broke up.

Playing Catch-Up: Monday Night Wars!!!!
So not only did RAW go live on Monday but TNA did as well, with their first Monday night show... and WWE's first direct competition in over eight years.
Gonna use bullet format this time to touch on both shows:
TNA: Impact
- TNA had been touting surprises for the past few weeks and they delivered to a point...
- The opening match was horrid, an eight man cage match ending a DQ is pointless and couldn't have done a lot to help gain any viewers, Homicide then getting caught when trying to escape the cage didn't help matters.
- Surprise one and the biggest surprise.... JEFF HARDY. If only he seemed remotely enthusiastic to be there. Jeff is also on the fence for how long his tenure will be, because the day after showing up on Impact his court case got moved to a grand jury, for trafficking drugs. So long Jeff, hope they respect you in prison.
- Women's title match that was less than three minutes long and missed the three count because instead we got a view of the empty cage from the previous match.... why?
- There were three other matches that all went under five minutes. So much for going back to the basics I guess.
- Ric Flair, Sean "X-Pac" Waltman, and Scott were all in attendence and shown on air.
- Unfortunately so were Orlando Jordan, Sean "Don't call me Val Venis" Morley, and the Nasty Boys.
- AJ Styles and Kurt Angle absolutely stole the show.
- Hogan royally fucked up on the mic: there was a camera crew following Hogan's motorcade as it arrived, and the first thing Hogan says on the mic... "I've been sitting in the back all day." WAY TO GO!
- That wasn't the only train wreck of that segment as Hall spoiled the Eric Bischoff "surprise" shortly after he interrupted the promo.
- Dixie Carter needs to stay behind the scenes, the rumors of Hogan/Bischoff/Carter in an on air "power struggle" against Mick Foley/Jeff Jarrett/Vince Russo. That sounds more painful than I can describe.
- TNA cut one of their main advertised matches... Nicely done. Instead of Abyss v. Rhino in a Barb Wire Massacre match, we got Abyss v. Samoa Joe in a normal wrestling match.... woo, I guess.
- Hogan called out Jarrett for only putting over older guys?!?!? Hogan brought in two people under the age of forty with him, good to know that he doesn't have a double standard.
MONDAY NIGHT RAW
- BRET IS BACK!!!!!!!!
- Bret called out HBK, really a great promo between the two, you could tell there was a lot of genuine feeling here. Good to know the past is the past, the two hugging in the middle of the ring was great.
- Sadly Melina is injured and fore fitted the Divas title. Eight diva tournament to declare new champ.
- Kelly Kelly v. Maryse in the finals is my guess. Unless they move Maria back to RAW.
- Hornswoggle in the DX promos adds a much needed new comedic aspect making them easier to watch.
- The Miz and MVP may be moving into a program against each other. I see no issue here at all.
- Evan Bourne almost made me believe he would beat Sheamus in a 1 on 1 match. Then reality set in, surprisingly Bourne got in some offense.
- Sadly the Kofi v. Orton feud appears to be over, with Orton being the winner. The Legacy break up continues to be teased.
- Vince really needs to stay off of TV. The program with him and Bret should be both of their final TV appearances.
- There was an off air tribute to Bret where he went around signing merch that fans had, he apparently got very emotional when someone had a Calgary Hitmen jersey signed by his brother Owen Hart.
Enjoy,
Suss
