If you have never heard of The Boondock Saints please crawl out of the rock you were hiding under. This is the movie that barely got made, so the fact that it has a sequel is amazing.
The Premise: This is eight years after the bloody murder that takes place at the end of the first film. The brothers and their father are hiding out in Ireland, when they get wind that a preist was murdered in Boston and the murder was done to make it seem like it was them. This of course sends them back to the states where they en route find their new protege Romeo (a very excitable Mexican with a SWEET mullet). The brothers and Romeo then pick up right where they left off. This film also gives a good insight to what was taking place with the boys father before the first movie takes place.
This movie pulls off a rare move where nearly the ENTIRE cast is back from the first film, even the three local cops from the first movie are played by the same people from the first one.... Time has not done them any favors (like I was as skinny as i was in 2001 either though). In short, this movie gets it, this is a great followup after the initial Boondock Saints and is well worth admission price and your time.
